Cloth diapering is the way to go for so many reasons, and I'd promote it to everyone (if you are reading this, you should opt for cloth as much as you possibly can). And also, I'm a parent of two small kids and know that disposable diapers have their place in a parent's life.

If they help people sleep more at night, that's great. If a sitter doesn't know how to use cloth, use disposables and keep that date night. If you are traveling and aren't ready or able to use cloth on the road, do not let it be another thing that stresses you out—use disposable diapers for a week. And if your daycare doesn't use cloth, there's a better disposable out there than what you'll snag at Costco.

The Disposable Way to Do Good

If you saw our last post, you'll note normal store-brand disposables are pretty gnarly. They're a toxic mess. That's why Do Good has partnered with Boo Diapers out of Seattle. It's a mom-owned business, we share diapering values, and the hope is that Do Good can one day turn used Boo diapers into biochar (like Carrie is doing out west). Turning a huge negative into an environmental positive.

But for now, just know that Boo are tested for biosolid composting and pyrolysis into biochar. They are dye-free, fragrance-free, elemental chlorine-free, latex-free, PVC-free, TBT-free, and come in plastic-free packaging. It's a super soft, plant-based diaper that also absorbs incredibly well (better than anything else I've used on our son—and the lad is a potty firehose).

Our mission is to do good, hence the name. So we are using this opportunity to give back to our community. Do Good is donating 3% of proceeds from Boo sales to the Greater Minneapolis Crisis Nursery. It's the kind of place that makes me sad it exists, but incredibly grateful that it does. And we are happy to support them through our diaper sales.

Feel free to contact us with questions or place your Boo order.
