I'm one of two working parents and I know how stressful life can be with a baby. I also know, first-hand, the value of using reusable diapers. The pain point for most folks is the washing—and we take care of that for a few hundred parents in the Twin Cities every week. We can help you, too.
If we had 500 families in the Twin Cities commit to eliminating diaper waste, we'd cut out the purchase, single use, and tossing of about 3 MILLION diapers each year.
When you partner with Do Good, you will be making an immediate, tangible impact on the environment. It doesn't take long (like, a day) before new parents realize how many dirty diapers these little humans generate each day. On average, babies create 6,000 diapers before they're donezo—the total weight of those diapers is about a ton. Yes, a ton. And these modern disposables are so full of chemicals and plastic, they take 500 years to degrade in a landfill.
America is 250 years old. A single diaper takes twice that time to go away. It's staggering to think about.
Diaper rashes are terrible and can be avoided.
Nobody likes diaper rashes. They are the worst for babies, and parents. When our daughter was little, we used store-bought chem-dipes and her rashes left us with no choice but to use athlete's foot ointment in her diaper zone. It was brutal. Our son was a cloth diaper baby and he had ZERO diaper rashes. I can't tell you what a big deal that was.
I got an email one day and it was something I experienced too.
"Also I just felt like bragging a little to you, after getting the hang of the cloth, I can change the cloth just as fast as a disposable diaper now!" - Joseph
If you don't think you can change a cloth diaper, believe me—you can. Parents can do anything. Since we've owned Do Good, hundreds of folks have signed up and only two families have cancelled service because they couldn't figure out how to change the diapers. You can do it and we'll do the dirty work.
If it doesn't work, for whatever reason, we'll refund your money.
I'm not here to make your life more difficult. In fact, I'm here for the opposite reason. And if cloth diapers aren't for you, we will give you a credit for our Boo disposables or get you your money back.
As you consider what diapers to use for your baby, please consider opting for reusable. It's incredibly important for your family, the environment, and if it doesn't work, you won't be out any money. There is no downside to partnering with your friendly, neighborhood cloth diaper cleaning service.
